Coming Soon! "Sand and Steel" - A Sword-and-Sorcery Anthology

After publishing my novella "The Scarlet Down", I realized two things:

1. I really liked this Siloh guy, whom I had - at first - written as a mere sidekick and comedic foil for my wizard character Howlett.

2. I really, really enjoyed writing fast-paced, action-heavy, heroic fantasy with a sort of old world/middle eastern setting.

I quickly abandoned the flimsy (and, quite frankly, very childish) ideas I had for more Howlett stories and started thinking up more quests for Siloh. Some of these story beats became integrated into the Legend of Gladius project, while others got fleshed out into shorter, more self-contained narratives. In the past few months, I've actually finished two of these short stories and currently working on a third. Ultimately, I plan to combine four of these stories - centered on Siloh and his adventures in the desert kingdoms of Yara-Kesh - into an anthology I'll be calling Sand and Steel.

There will be blood.

There will be monsters.

There will be swords and sorcery.

I'm so freaking excited!

Hopefully, I'll have all four stories edited and ready to go sometime soon. I'm aiming to have the anthology published by the end of October.

Until then, I'm going to turn on some dungeon-synth music and get into the perfect mood for writing pulpy heroic fantasy! LET'S GO!!
